Top Kill Protest

At a weekend protest over the Deepwater Horizon oil catastrophe, New Orleans residents gathered in Jackson Square.  This poster caught my eye.
Vietnam era protesters will recall the original image and influence.
Meanwhile, Wall Street voted with its feet too, pushing BP stock down 15 percent, a $19 billion drop in market cap.

I am curious whether the willing fools holding those signs were aware of the origin of that drawing.

As much as I am irritated at BP for their apparent lack of skill at dealing with this incredibly complex problem, it certainly doesn't belong in the same category as the behavior that Loan's actions have come to represent.

I'm not sure how much more Louisiana can take but as a former resident it saddens me that so little regard is given to such a beautiful place.
