Giant Meteor 2024
Remember in 2016 when the choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump left many rooting for a giant meteor extinction-level event? Well, the increasing likelihood of a geriatric rematch in 2024 between Joe Biden and Donald Trump has even more Americans, as well as citizens around the planet if not across the universe, hoping for a celestial intervention.
Can anyone blame them?

Mass Shootings and Gun-Related Deaths
January 2023 has passed. But not without 39 mass shootings, including three in the same week in California, a state with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the United States.
Gun-related deaths, both suicides and homicides, rose markedly during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are many other contributive factors: mental illness, broken families, addiction, crime, drugs and drug trafficking, illegal immigration, defunding of police forces, oversaturated mass and social media coverage, declines in faith and values, polarized politics, tribalism, etc.
Is America cracking up? It almost makes you want to buy a gun.
