Will Last A Lifetime
After a 54-year drought that began in 1940, the New York Rangers finally won the Stanley Cup on June 14, 1994, their first in 54 years. That championship was 25 years ago. And just one Stanley Cup win in 79 years, and four since 1926, the fewest of the Original Six teams.
As announcer Sam Rosen said that night, "This one will last a lifetime." For long-suffering Rangers fans, it sure feels that way.

First American Space Walk
The Cold War and the race to the Moon between the United States and the Soviet Union were escalating when Ed White of the Gemini 4 crew made the first American spacewalk, or EVA (extravehicular activity), on June 3, 1965. Soviet Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov set the pace with the first spacewalk three months earlier on March 18, 1965, from the Voskhod 2.
