Will Last A Lifetime

After a 54-year drought that began in 1940, the New York Rangers finally won the Stanley Cup on June 14, 1994, their first in 54 years. That championship was 25 years ago. And just one Stanley Cup win in 79 years, and four since 1926, the fewest of the Original Six teams.

As announcer Sam Rosen said that night, "This one will last a lifetime." For long-suffering Rangers fans, it sure feels that way.
