NHL All-Star Game's MVP

The NHL's annual all-star game is always a high-scoring affair, and this Sunday's game was no exception, ending 12-9 in favor of Team Chara.  That's due to the fact there's little to no checking and that means lots of shooting.  The New York Rangers' high-scoring sharpshooter Marion Gaborik scored a hat trick, along with an assist, and earned the game's Most Valuable Player honors.

Two of Gaborik's three goals were scored against the Rangers' top goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist, and led to one of the game's more memorable moments, Gaborik dropping to one knee and aiming the butt end of his stick, rifle-style, at Lundqvist.  Everyone enjoyed the good-natured fun.

That wasn't the case last December when Gaborik's teammate Artem Anisimov made the same move after scoring against the Tampa Bay Lightning's goalie Mathieu Garon.  Tampa Bay took exception to the move, leading to 38 minutes in major and minor penalties.
